| Saturday April 23, 2011 at 1427 hours, Chief 6C (Morris), Safety 6 (McKenny), Squad 6 (Montgomery Jr), Engine 62 (Cox) and Ambulance 69 (Bevard) were alerted for the overturned vehicle with heavy entrapment at 7545 Wayside Drive. In addition, this brought units from the Dunkirk VFD to the scene (Chief 5, Squad 5, Engine 51, Ambulance 59). Units from the Huntingtown VFD arrived to find a vehicle 100' down an enbankment. Crews went to work placing a Z-rig in service to extricate the patient from the wreckage and up the steep embankment. The patient was flown to PG Shock Trauma for further treatment. Units returned to service within the hour. |
