| Tuesday October 12th at 1144 hours, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6B (Thrasher), Engine 61 (Wallace) and Ambulance 69 (Williams) were alerted for an intentional overdose at 5420 Solomons Island Road. Units arrived to find a middle-aged male patient sitting in a chair not responsive. Upon further evaluation, it was found that patient had no pulse and was not breathing. A-69 and E-61 started CPR immediately. The AED analyzed the patient and advised no shock. Company 6 units and M-102 continued CPR and moved the patient to the reeves stretcher. With CPR still in progress the pt was loaded in the ambulance and transported priority 1 to CMH. While arriving at CMH a pulse was regained, pt improved enough to breathe by himself, and sat up and talked with A-69's and M102's crew. During this incident, Tanker 6 (Sgt Bingham) handled a fire prevention event in Huntingtown. |
