0600 hours on Thursday September 16, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6C (Morris), Engine 61 (Montgomery Jr) and Squad 6 (Lt Buckler) were alerted (along with surrounding companies) for the pump house on fire at 3150 Solomons Island Road (603 box). The Huntingtown Volunteers arrived to find smoke and fire showing from a small one-story pump house. The 200' crosslay was stretched making quick work of the fire which originated from a generator motor. Squad 6 ventilated and secured the motor. Within 10 minutes, the box was held to Company 6 units only. Units operated until 0710 hours awaiting the Fire Investigator.
