Hours after clearing the 2 alarm fire in North Beach, at 1400hrs, Engine 62 (F/F M. Foresta) along with Engine 51 was dispatched to Anne Arundel County for a station transfer. Engine 62 transferred to Station 7 (Arundel). En route, Engine 62 was re-routed to a third alarm brush fire in Odenton. Engine 62 arrived on scene and immediately assisted in containing the large brush fire (approx 50-60 acres) just off of Route 32. Engine 62 also relieved Anne Arundel Engine 281 as the main water supply for all fireground operations. Engine 62 operated on the fireground for approximately 5 hours and supplied over 20,000 gallons of water before the fire was brought completely under control.

While en route back to quarters, Engine 62 was dispatched to a medical call in Lothian's first due for a trauma arrest. Engine 62 arrived on the scene to find a 9 year that had been involved in an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) accident. Despite efforts from the medical personnel, the 9 year old succumbed from his injuries. Engine 62 assisted with patient care until Anne Arundel Paramedic 3 could transport. Tanker 6 (F/F Grierson, R) also transferred to Anne Arundel Station 40 while Engine 62 was on the fireground. Engine 62 and Tanker 6 finally returned home at 2100hrs (7 hours later).
