| In the early evening hours of Sunday May 2, 2010, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6C (Morris), Engine 61 (Williams) and Tanker 6 (Fisher) were alerted for the basement fire on German Chapel Road (3rd due). Supplemental information reported that a fire was in a basement apartment with a handicapped individual still inside. Units arrived on location of a two-story building with smoke showing. Due to quick work the fire was quickly knocked down by Prince Frederick Engine 21. St Leonard Engine 71 stretched a line to the 2nd floor checking for extension. Engine 61 arrived, laid a secondary supply line and stretched a line to the rear where they were later assigned to assist with opening up and checking for extension. Within 25 minutes, the box was held to Company 2 units only. All pictures courtesy of member Dennis Hook: www.DennisHook.smugmug.com Command: Chief 6; Division 1: Chief 6C; Division 2: Captain 7 |
