Thursday December 17, 2009 at 0710 hours, Chief 6C (Morris) and Squad 6 (Miller) were alerted for the auto accident in the Prince Frederick area. While en route to the call, a Box Alarm was alerted for the garage fire at 1255 Flag Harbor Blvd (4th due for Huntingtown VFD). This alerted Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A Montgomery), Chief 6C, Engine 62 (Wallace) and Tanker 6 (Newman). Due to the location of Squad 6, they also responded on the run bringing 11 total Huntingtown members. Chief 6C and Squad 6 arrived first on location reporting a fully-involved garge with extension to a neighboring house.

Chief 6C established Command as the crew from Squad 6 split into two crews. The 1st crew forced entry through a rear door of the garage and began opening up for the arriving Engine companies. The 2nd crew forced entry in the house checking the walls and attic for any extension. Engine 62 (4th due Engine) arrived 3rd and split laid 800' of 3" to a nearby hydrant. During this incident, Engine 62 supplied the entire fire ground. Units from the Huntingtown VFD operated until 0851 hours.
