| This past Saturday August 8th, around 0630 hours, Engine 62 traveled to the Rod and Reel Marina to salute wounded veterans of the ongoing War in the Middle East. In addition, over 70 Volunteers from neighboring Calvert County departments stood-by for this annual event that began last year.
After the fishing trip, the Veterans traveled to a residence in Huntingtown for a luncheon/party hosted by a local citizen. This gathering which also began last year is an "invitation only" event. However, the Huntingtown VFD was invited and appeared with Engine 62, Tanker 6, and Ambulance 69. No pictures will be posted of the luncheon. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all the men and women fighting overseas.
