Today, the Huntingtown VFD received word that we had been awarded once again a grant from our good friends at MIEMSS and SHA. After months of tedius work, it has paid off and we are extremely grateful to be awarded the grant. Because of this, we are able to purchase 90 highway safety vests and several other pieces of Rescue/EMS equipment. This grant focuses on Highway Safety Transportation and we have been awarded this grant now.......7 TIMES!!

In the last few years, because of MIEMSS and SHA, we have purchased, (2) new HURST series "O" cutters, a new Maverick Combination tool, new low pressure and high pressure air bags, a new set of 32" HURST Jaws, a battery-operated stretcher, 3 new AED's, and several other pieces of EMS equipment. We look forward to the years to follow.
