| Wednesday February 25, 2009, one hour after returning from a reported barn fire at 2016 hours, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6B (Thrasher), Engine 61 (Rountree Jr) and Squad 6 (Sgt Buckler) were alerted for the house fire at 6437 Randle Avenue (104 box). First arriving Engine 11 arrived reporting heavy fire showing from a one-story wood frame residence (with basement). This immediately brought a 3rd crew from quarters aboard Tanker 6 (Fitzgerald) with the Working Fire Dispatch. Crews immediately went to work finding two rooms and the attic heavily involved with fire. Due to quick work of first arriving crews, the fire was quickly extinguished. Crews from Huntingtown backed up Engine 11 and assisted with opening up due to extensive overhaul. Units from Huntingtown VFD remained on the scene until 2158 hours.
