| This past Saturday February 7, 2009, the Huntingtown VFD sponsored the Southern MD Tri-County Vo-Tech Firefighter Skills Competition. This event occurs every year; all the local high schools in the county send the top students from the high-school cadet program to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The top 3 students from the Tri-County competition are invited to the State competition in Baltimore, MD in March. The competition was a tremendous success. Many thanks to the three counties in alllowing Huntingtown VFD to sponsor this competition.
