This past Monday marked the last night of the annual Santa Run for the children of Huntingtown. Beginning Friday evening and ending Monday, it was once again a success. Santa and the Volunteers of Huntingtown reached 1,700 children this year (100 + from last year). Bags with fire prevention material, coloring books, crayons, candy, and fruit were handed out. Many thanks to the dedicated members who staffed between 5-6 pieces of apparatus EVERY night for this event. Thanks to all the dedicated members that took time away from their schedule each night to ensure apparatus was covered. Extra special thanks to Santa and Mrs. Claus for allowing this to happen as we do every year.

The Huntingtown VFD is one of few that spends 4 days visiting this many children and puts this much effort into bringing Santa into the community.
