On Sunday December 14, 2008, just minutes after Engine 61, Engine 62, and Ambulance 69 backed into quarters (from the parade & medical), crews were beginning to reposition for the 3rd evening of the Annual Santa Claus Run. At 1615 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Montgomery Jr), Engine 62 (Capt Collins), Squad 6 (Clark), Tanker 6 (S/O Bowen), and Ambulance 69 (Colliflower) were alerted for smoke in the house at 4440 Estate Drive. Company 6 units arrived to find smoke showing from the single-family split-foyer residence. Squad 6 gained quick entry and found a fire in a downstairs computer room. The crew from Squad 6 extinguished the majority of the fire with the PW can. Engine 61 laid 800' 3", stretched the 200' pre-connect and extinguished all remaining fire. Engine 62 supplied Engine 61, handled Division 1, and checking for any further extension (negative). All other units staged. Within 15 minutes, the Box Assignment was held to Huntingtown VFD units only. At 1708 hours, Command was terminated. Units cleared the fireground, and immediately met up with Command 6, Utility 6, and Santa (already on the street).

Command: Chief 6, Basement Division: Chief 6B, Division 1: Captain 6, Staging: Chief 5B (Sealey)
