| The Huntingtown VFD is pleased to announce the arrival of "pre" Brush 6. This unit was delivered yesterday via Winegardner GMC, Prince Frederick, MD. This unit is a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4WD Extended Cab. It holds a Vortec 6.0L V8 Engine, Duramax 6.6 Diesel. The transmission is an Allison 1000 6 speed automatic. And the needed requirements: Heat/AC, AM/FM/CD player, power windows, and power mirrors.
Next week, after the Thanksgiving holidays, it will travel to the Eastern Shore for paint, lettering, installation of radios, lights, etc, along with the skid pump unit. Look for the new Brush 6 to be placed in service in the upcoming weeks.
In addition, new Tanker 6 (Peterbilt) has an anticipated delivery date of March 15, 2009. New Command 6 is currently in the works now as we speak also. Many thanks to the Apparatus Committee for their hard work. |
