The Driver and one firefighter of the Squad handled securing and stabilizing the vehicle, while two other firefighters went to work removing both front doors as well as a partial roof removal with both HURST "O" Cutters and HURST Maverick Combi-tool. At the same time, Ambulance 68's crew was treating and packaging the patient. The total extrication took less than 7 minutes and all units cleared at 0940 hours. The patient was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital by Ambulance 68 and the Medic Unit.

While Squad 6 was returning, they handled a seperate medical local along with Ambulance 69 (3rd crew in quarters).
