| The Huntingtown VFD is proudly supporting the "End Hunger in Calvert County" (EHCC). This group is an association of over 30 Calvert County business and community leaders united behind the idea that hunger in our County can be defeated. During October, End Hunger in Calvert County is leading a month long, countywide food drive to benefit Calvert food pantries. The plan is to strategically place food collection bins throughout the County with all food going directly to local food pantries. The goal is to not only collect a lot of food, but to raise awareness of the problem of hunger in Calvert County. The food drive runs from October 1 - 31.
***The goal is to raise 500,000 pounds of food.***
