| Sunday August 10th at 1941 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers and North Beach Ambulance 18 were alerted for the auto accident on Stinnett Road, just in from Plum Point Road. Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Montgomery), Chief 6C (Hayes), Captain 6 (McKenny), Squad 6 (Lt Thrasher), Engine 62 (Capt Collins), and Ambulance 69 (Nasti) arrived to find a single-vehicle into a tree. The driver had been self-extricated prior to arrival but claimed he was the passenger and the driver was missing. Because of this information, crews immediately began canvassing the woods searching for the missing patient. After several minutes, this information turned false, as the single patient admitted to driving the vehicle. Due to the injuries sustained, it was determined to transport the patient to a local trauma center. Engine 62 handled the Landing Zone. |
