This past Saturday August 9th, approximately 80 injured soldiers from the Walter Reed Hospital were able to attend an early morning fishing trip at the Rod & Reel Marina. On hand at the Rod & Reel, departments from around the county gathered to show our support. These soldiers were shuttled from the hospital to the marina by bus. Afterwards the injured soliders were shuttled to a large party/lunch on Old Plum Point Road in Huntingtown, MD. As parade entered the driveway, a crew of 4 Huntingtown Volunteers aboard Engine 62 saluted them at the entrance with the American flag waving proud.

The Huntingtown VFD wishes every soldiers a continuing recovery. Their dedication, pride, and commitment for our country do not go unnoticed.
