Wednesday August 6, 2008, at approximately 1000 hours, Chief 6C, Engine 61, Tanker 6, Jeep 6, Brush 6, Command 6, and Utility 6 left the station to drill in an acquired structure on Pushaw Station Road. Due to a housing development underway, the originial vacant structure needed to be removed. However, while en route, a house fire was struck in North Beach which caused a couple hour delay in the drill. After lunch, crews returned back to the house and drilled in hose evolutions before finally burning the house. Due to unstable conditions, no interior work was accomplished. Crews packed up and cleared just in time to respond to an auto fire two hours later.
