| Thursday July 24, 2008 at 2100 hours, the Huntingtown VFD was alerted for the building fire in the area of 841 Keith Lane. This 502 Box brought 11 Huntingtown Volunteers comprised of Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 62 (Nasti), and Tanker 6 (Rountree, RJ). The Dunkirk VFD arrived reporting heavy smoke from a middle-of-the-row commercial occupancy. Engine 62 arrived shortly after, and secured Engine 51's line. The crew from Engine 62 stretched a secondary pre-connect backing Engine 51. Upon entry, heavy fire conditions were found throughout the building. Engine 62 assisted with extinguishing the fire, searching the building, and opening up the 2nd floor. Tanker 6 assisted with Water Supply. Chief 6B handled the Interior Division. An additional crew in quarters loaded Command 6 (Sgt Morris) with refreshments and brought them to the scene. The Huntingtown Volunteers operated on this incident until 2316 hours. With these crews on Keith Lane, 2 additional crews remained in quarters staffing Squad 6 and Ambulance 69, which responded on two auto accidents and one medical.
