Thursday March 20, 2008 at 1501 hours, Chief 6B (Montgomery), Squad 6 (Rountree), and Ambulance 69 (Stewart) were alerted for the vehicle into the barn at Ponds Wood Road and Hardesty Road. Upon arrival, crews found the same, a pick-up truck that had slammed into the side of the barn causing significant damage. Bystanders advised the driver ran off the road, overcorrected, and began spinning in the roadway before finally meeting the barn. Fortunately, the driver was out of the vehicle with no apparent injuries. Squad 6 stood-by waiting for a County Inspector due to the instability of the barn.

Coincidently, this barn was also struck by a pick-up truck (with a similar story-losing control, spinning, etc) less than 4 months ago. To view that story, visit: http://www.hvfd6.org/index.cfm?fs=news.newsView&News_ID=490
