Car v. Telephone Pole--Ponds Wood Road

Sunday March 16, 2008 at approximately 1200 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers were alerted for the auto accident on Ponds Wood Road. Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Montgomery), Squad 6 (Capt Collins), Engine 62 (Cox, D), Ambulance 68 (Buckler), and Ambulance 69 (Capt McKenny) arrived to find a single-vehicle that had slammed into a telephone pole shearing it in two places. Fortunately, the driver walked away with minor injuries. Crews from Huntingtown packaged the patient for transport. SMECO was also notified.
