January 21, 2008 at 0647 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers were dispatched to the south-side of Huntingtown at 1530 Solomons Island Road (218 Box) for the house fire. Dispatched to the call included Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Robison), and Squad 6 (Osbourn). Engine 21 arrived on location and found a matress on fire on the 2nd floor. The crew from Engine 61 assisted Engine 21 with extinguishing the same and quick overhaul. Huntingtown units were held until 0714 hours. They quickly cleared this box and responded with Brush 6 for a small brush fire. Two hours after clearing, Huntingtown units were dispatched to Dunkirk for a mercury spill where they found the same.
