On Friday September 3, 2004, Squad 6 (Chief 6C, Caroll Spriggs), Engine 61 (Safety Officer Clinton Cox), Ambulance 68 (EMT Z. Angelo) departed for Huntingtown High School to standby for their first ever Varsity football game.

There were over 4,000 attendees from the community to cheer on the Huntingtown Hurricanes. Unfortunately, they lost to the Patuxent Panthers 27-16. Units from Company 6 stood-by for two hours. During this time, they had one injury they treated at the school.

A first due house fire was also dispatched which brought Engine 61, Engine 62, Squad 6, Tanker 6, Ambulance 68, Command 6 and Utility 6. Chief 6 found a controlled burning and placed the box in service. Ambulance 69 (from the station) also responded to a child in seizures that ended up being air-transported to DC Children's Hospital.
