| Friday November 30, 2007 at 2114 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers and surrounding mutual aid companies were alerted for the trailer fire on Federal Oaks Drive (613 Box). While en route, Communications advised that police were on-scene and had extinguished the majority of the fire with an extinguisher. Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Robison), Engine 62 (S/O Bowen), Squad 6 (Cox, D), Tanker 6 (Montgomery, Jr), and Ambulance 69 (Stewart) arrived to find a 20' X 10' construction trailer with fire underneath of the trailer burning into the walls and floor joists. The back-step crew quickly ran the 150' front bumper line to make quick work of the remaining fire. The OIC of Engine 61 forced the front door for the Squad crew who checked for extension with the Thermal Imager. Within minutes and before arrival of any mutual aid units, the Box was quickly held to Company 6 units only. Engine 61 stood-by for the Fire Investigator who is currently investigating the fire. Chief 6 held the Command and all units returned to service at 2217 hours. All pictures courtesy of member, Dennis Hook, www.dchookedonphotograhpy.com |
