Thursday afternoon, the Volunteers of Huntingtown were kept busy for a few hours. Around lunchtime, units were dispatched to the Marriott Hotel across from Company 2 Quarters for smoke in the building. This brought Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Spriggs), Engine 62 (Lt Randleman), Squad 6 (Lt Thrasher), and Tanker 6 (Fitzgerald) to the call. The back-step crew ran the 400' attack line and 150' standpipe rack to the 1st floor in addition to 300' 3". Units found a malfunctioning furnace.

A few hours later, the crew from Engine 61 (Sgt Kerns) mounted up and headed to Huntingtown Rd to burn down a dilapidated trailer for the owner. With one crew taking care of that, a Local Box was alerted at Route 4 and Plum Point Road for the smoke scare bringing Engine 62 (Morgan), Tanker 6 (Robertson), and Brush 6 (Stewart).

Just minutes after returning from that, Engine 62 (Mckenny) and Tanker 6 (Riffe) were alerted to Company 7's first due for smoke in the residence.

A total of 4 crews operated simultaneously before all returned to service.
