Wednesday September 5, 2007 at 2202 hours, crews had just finished cleaning up from bingo, when Box 506 was alerted for the apartment fire at 111 Honeysuckle Lane bringing Company 5 (Dunkirk), Company 1 (North Beach) and Company 6 (Huntingtown). Units from Huntingtown brought to the call were: Chief 6 (Riffe), Engine 62 (S/O Collins), and Tanker 6 (Robison). Units arrived to find heavy smoke showing from the 1st floor with all occupants out of the house. Once inside, 3 rooms were found to be on fire in Quadrant "A" and "B". Fortunately, the fire was quickly knocked down. Engine 62's crew assisted with opening up the Interior and checking for extension. Chief 6's aide (Bingham) threw 2 ground ladders, and pulled a secondary attack line. At 2255 hours, Huntingtown units returned to service. Many pictures courtesy of www.dchookedonphotography.com
