| Early this Saturday morning, dozens of Huntingtown members loaded onto E-61, E-62, S-6, T-6, A-68, C-6, and U-6 for the drill house at 1510 Cox Road. This past Thursday, members drilled in the house conducting search & rescue and RIT training with the RIT packs. The house is over 150 years old and due to the structural integrity, no interior firefighting was possible. After conducting ventilation training this morning, the house was finally burned to the ground. All units wrapped up and returned to quarters around 1000 hours. The owners of the property advised us that once the new house is completed, they are going to invite the entire membership back for a cook-out of fried chicken and watermelon. With these units at the drill, Ambulance 69 was in Waldorf for EVOC training. Remember, we still have another house to burn in Huntingtown. This will take place in the next couple of weeks. This Thursday, is week 2 of school bus extrication. |
