| During the MSFA Convention, the Huntingtown Volunteers joined in the annual Kentland VFD Volleyball tournament. The tournament began Tuesday June 19, 2007 with a total of 16 fire department teams. Huntingtown VFD was the only team from Calvert County but joined in with several other companies. The first game, Huntingtown played Bladensburg VFD. Unfortunately, we lost by 2 points. Later in the afternoon, we played Grasonville VFD and also lost by two points. However, we all had a great time and thanks for the hospitailty of the Kentland VFD. In either July or August, the Kentland Volunteers and Huntingtown Volunteers will have their own tournament in Huntingtown. Stay tuned for details.
----The title of the story may seem deceiving. We didn't win 1st place. We won the award titled "Dead Ass Last".
Team Members: Mike Davis, Chris "Spike" D'Agostino, Beth D'Agostino, Larry Kerns, Paul Robison, Nate Wheelock, Scott Smith, Jimmy Hess, Michelle White, and Jonathan Riffe |
