| Generally, the members of Huntingtown VFD try to come together at least once a month. This is usually to give back to the membership and thank them for all of their hard work and continuous man hours that they give to the department. Yesterday evening, one of the members, held his annual Cajun Crawfish party. This has now been going on for the past few years. Over 80 pounds of crawfish are flown in alive from New Orleans, along with gumbo, and many cajun specialties. A local band was also there and played for several hours into the night.
With several dozen members taking the evening off, several others remained in the area to staff the apparatus. Stay tuned for upcoming events. There are 3 in the works now............ |
