| For the 2nd year in a row, the Huntingtown VFD Ladies Auxiliary held a local yard sale at the station. Due to extensive advertising it was a huge success. Several dozen tables were rented out by the community. There were so many, the entire engine bay was utilized along with the majority of the front parking lot. Also through a partnership with the Calvert County Sheriff's Department, there was a station set-up where children would give their DNA in the event they were ever lost, kidnapped, etc. The yard sale concluded at 1300 hours and it is estimated that well over 500 people stopped by. |
