| Yesterday, May 7, 2007, we received word that we had been awarded once again a grant from our good friends at MIEMSS and SHA. We were the only department able to be awarded this grant and it has taken several months of tedius work. However, it paid off and we are extremely grateful to be awarded the grant. Because of this, we are able to purchase another battery-operated stretcher for the 2nd ambulance and several other pieces of equipment for our Rescue and EMS Operations. This grant focuses on Highway Safety Transportation and we have been awarded this grant now.......5 TIMES!!!
In the last few years, because of MIEMSS and SHA, we have purchased, (2) new HURST series "O" cutters, a new Maverick Combination tool, new low pressure and high pressure air bags, a new set of 32" HURST Jaws, and several other pieces of EMS equipment. We look forward to the years to follow! Thanks again. |
