On Friday April 27, 2007 at 1858 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Lt Thrasher), and Tanker 6 (Gadway, J) were alerted for the basement fire on Welchpoole Court (3rd due Engine, 1st due Tanker). Dunkirk units arrived on location and reported smoke showing. Upon entry, a couch and chair were found to be on fire in the basement with minimal extension but heavy smoke on all floors. Over 1800 feet of 3" was laid by Engine 51 due to the length of the driveway. Engine 12 acted as a relay pumper approximately 900 feet in. Engine 62 picked up the line and was the primary pumper. Tanker 6 supplied all fireground units. At 1944 hours, Huntingtown units picked up and returned to service.
