Wednesday February 14, 2007, the Volunteers of Huntingtown (and entire county) were awakened around 0200 hours as trees began to topple due to ice, sleet, and freezing rain. This only progessed through the day as winds increased to 25-30 mph gusting at 40 mph. The Huntingtown Volunteers ran just under 2 dozen calls for the day ranging from auto accidents, trees down, wires down, pole fires, a first due box (electrical fire), fire alarms, an ice rescue in Dunkirk, and several medicals. Over the course of the day over 3 dozen crews made their way through the station to ensure all pieces were covered. Many thanks them and also to the Auxiliary for providing food.
