| After 6 decades of providing service to the citizens of Calvert County, the Naval Research Lab; Chesapeake Bay Detachment (CBD), Company 15 will be closing its doors permanently. Established in the 1940's, the station has responded on countless calls to assist and respond primarily in Company 1, Company 6, and Company 2's first due. The single engine house remained in service at all times and saved countless lives and numerous houses and businesses. They had close ties and worked well with the neighboring departments. However, due to budgetary concerns and staffing reductions, Company 15 and Engine 151 will be closed effective Christmas Eve. We wish all of our fellow brothers the best of luck and thank everybody that walked through those doors to assist the citizens of Calvert County.
