| On Wednesday July 26th, The Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department hosted the Explorer Post from the Ridge Culver Fire Department from New York. The explorers came down to attend the Firehouse Expo in Baltimore, watch an Orioles game at Camden Yards and to do some sight seeing in Washington DC. All of the members of the explorer post where lodged at Company 6 for the four days they were in Maryland. On Saturday the members of HVFD and our Auxiliary hosted a dinner for our visitors so they could get the family closeness of the Huntingtown Volunteers (a place where you can find no other). During the dinner the Chief from the Ridge Culver Fire Department presented Vice President Paul Robinson a clock/plaque as a small token of appreciation.
Many thanks to Michelle Smith, the Fire Chief, the Huntingtown Auxiliary, and all the members for catering to the Explorers and assisting in any way possible. |
