| For the past two days, two Instructors from the Huntingtown VFD were requested and fortunately able to instruct Mayday training at the annual Firehouse Expo in Baltimore, MD. Recently, the Huntingtown VFD mandated that all of our members must complete an 8 hour Mayday course to continue riding the fire apparatus. This is a first for a volunteer fire department in the country. The past two days, students from all over the country traveled to the Expo to ensure they were always fully competent and able to call for help in a life-threatening situation. Many thanks to Dr Clark and the Firehouse Expo. Look for it again at FDIC. |
