If you are a volunteer in Calvert County or familiar with Huntingtown, you have probably seen the legendary Nite Rider traveling the streets of Route 4 at any time of the day or "nite". Mr. Willis joined Huntingtown VFD a few years back after volunteering several years at Oxon Hill and then at Prince Frederick VFD. With him, came his Black and PINK 1992 F-150 to Huntingtown. Willis, a retired MPD officer, has given us every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday since he joined in addition to countless evening and nightime hours for fundraising and coming out for calls. He was the Director of the Disciplinary Policy and led the Fire Prevention Public Safety Committee. Sadly, he announced a weeks ago that he was moving to South Carolina with his wife. He knew his Nite Rider pick-up would not fit in down there so he decided to sell it. The vehicle was delivered to its new owner on Sunday after being sold it on a successful local on-line consignment business (www.cashthetrash.com). Hint hint......

Dave will be moving anytime between now and July. Because of this, if anybody is interested in applying for his position of North-Side Duty Chief, pls contact the station! Dave, we'll miss you but know you'll be back soon enough.
