On April 2, 2006 at 0030 hours, Company 2 (Prince Frederick), Company 6 (Huntingtown), Company 83 (Benedict), and Ambulance 4 (Rescue Squad) were alerted to Lottie Fowler Road for the barn fire. This assignment brought Chief 6 (Osbourn), Chief 6A (Riffe), Chief 6B (Hayes), Engine 62 (Rountree), Squad 6 (Lt Thrasher), and Tanker 6 (Hayward) to the call. Engine 21 (Lt Dalrymple) arrived on location reporting a fully involved barn fire. Chief 6 was next arriving and established the Command. Engine 62's crew picked up Engine 21's line establishing the Water Supply and pulled a secondary line to the rear of the barn to assist with extinguishment and hold the fire from spreading to the surrounding woods. The crew from Squad 6 was assigned to Side "A", set up the Light Tower and utilized hooks to bring the remainder of the barn to the ground. The fire was quickly brought under control and remaining units were held on the scene until approximately 0230 hours. The Fire Marshall was called to the scene because this fire was also suspicious in nature.
