On February 27, 2006 at 0915 hours (3 mins after clearing Mount Harmony La), Huntingtown VFD was alerted first-due along with Company 2 (Prince Frederick), Company 5 (Dunkirk) and Tanker 7 (St Leonard) for the chimney fire at 3290 Ben Oak Drive. Chief 6 (Osbourn), Chief 6A (Riffe), Chief 6C (Spriggs), Engine 61 (Lt Montgomery), Engine 62 (Sgt Nasti), Squad 6 (Morrison), Tanker 6 (Hardesty), and Ambulance 69 (Inscoe, D) arrived to find a single-story single family dwelling with a working chimney fire. Chief 6 established Command, while crews began to investigate. With the assistance of Engine 21, the crews were able to quickly extinguish the contained fire and check for any extension in the walls and attic of the house. The assignment was quickly downgraded to Company 6 and Company 2. At 1010 hours, Command was terminated.

Upon arrival back at the station, Engine 61 (Lt Montgomery) and Ambulance 69 (Scoggins) were back out the door again for a medical local on Lower Marlboro Road.
