Yesterday’s storms kept your Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department busy with a series of weather-related calls for service. Over the course of just four hours, Company 6 units responded to numerous calls for trees down across roadways and two separate incidents involving trees falling onto residential homes. At approximately 1818 hours, Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department units were dispatched to the 504 box (Dunkirk) for reports of a tree on a home with individuals trapped inside. Ambulance 68 and Squad 6 responded immediately with Chief 6 (M. Clark), Chief 6A (T. Clark), Chief 6B (B. Thrasher), Chief 6C (M. Eversole), Fire Captain (D. Wallace), and several other dedicated volunteers. Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of our crews and crews from additional companies, the call was handled safely and efficiently. A reminder to our community- |
