| On the evening of Saturday November 12, 2005, the Huntingtown Volunteers held the end of year Poker Tournament. What made this event special and better than any other one, was that it was held in the new upstairs Banquet Hall. The Hall had not been opened up yet to the general public. The tournament was invite only, and sold out quicker than any other time before (max is 80 players). A pianoist entertained during social hour and the caterers (Expressions Catering) created an excellent arrangement of food. Things went great as planned. The month of December there will not be a Tournament due to the Holidays, but January will pick up again. Stay tuned to the website for details or call Secretary Sandy Dugan Mon-Fri during normal business hours. Sidenote: A total of 22 members worked the event until 2 a.m. along with two ADDITIONAL dedicated crews manning the apparatus. Many thanks to the dedicated volunteers. |
