| In the past few weeks, 8 Huntingtown VFD members returned home from the South after the recovery cleanup efforts from Hurricane Rita. These members spent from 1-4 weeks helping countless evacuees and stranded residents. A few members spent several weeks fending for theirselves and living out of tents and eating packaged meals. Fortunately, all of the members returned home safely to share their stories. Our dedicated Volunteers will do anything they can to help out the citizens of our country outside of Huntingtown. Additionally, the proceeds from the last Poker tournament were given to assist the fire departments down south.
The following members gave their time: Deputy Chief Spriggs, R. Nahas, Engineer Dorsey, C. Gadway, J. Gadway, RJ Rountree, G. Farrell, and R. Muholland.
**Many thanks to F/F C. Gadway for the pictures. |
