Squad 6 (Capt Grierson) responded mutual aide to Prince George's County for the second alarm building fire. Units from PG arrived on Depot Lane in Upper Marlboro with a large commercial self storage building with smoke showing. The assignment quickly escalated to a second and third alarm due to amount of fire and need for forcible entry to access the entire building. Calvert squads 6 and 5 used saws to cut thru walls and doors to allow access for engine companies to complete extinguishment. Squad 6 operated for approximately 3 hours before returning to Huntingtown.
