Members of Huntingtown along with surrounding departments gathered this morning to conduct a live fire training exercise. Members had been using the acquired structures for various drills including hose line advancement, search and rescue as well as forcible entry training. The Calvert County Sherriff's Office also conducted training in the homes during the month of January. To conclude the month long training, crews participated in over 30 live fire burns in the homes. Thank you to Captain Grierson and all the members who worked hard to prepare for todays conclusion to the training. We also would like to thank the other companies who attended and provided apparatus to make today a success. The department has recently acquired an additional building and we look forward to another excellent training opportunity.
