| On Sunday October 16, 2005 at 1742 hours, Company 6 (Huntingtown), Company 2 (Prince Frederick), Engine 151 (Navy Base), Company 1 (North Beach), and Tanker 5 (Dunkirk) were alerted for the "large barn fire" behind 3155 Queensberry Drive. Chief 6 (Osbourn), Engine 61 (Foresta), Engine 62 (Bowen, S), Squad 6 (Lt Cox), Tanker 6 (Dorsey), Brush 6 (Pope), and Ambulance 68 (Cooper) arrived along with Engine 21 to find a large barn fully-involved already on the ground. Due to limited access, the barn was difficult to reach and only long-length lines were able to reach the fire to extinguish it. Engine 21 was supplied by Engine 61 and Engine 151 was supplied by Tanker 6. The fire was quickly knocked down and mutual aid units were quickly returned to service. Company 6 units remained on the scene until 1946 hours. The fire was ruled as arson and a group of juveniles are currently being investigated. Command-Chief 6; Staging-Sergeant 6 (Bivens) |
