Huntingtown receives "Use and Occupancy Permit"!!!!

After several years of planning, and the past two years of construction, the volunteers of Huntingtown received the Use and Occupancy permit for the new building today. The new construction was inspected and reviewed by the appropriate inspectors and passed. This would not have been possible if not from assistance of all of the members, the New Building Committee, Scheibel Construction, and several others. Many thanks to everybody that gave their input and made this come together. Due to the enormous size of the building (3 X bigger than the original), the furniture is still 4 weeks away. The live-ins should be filling the large individual bunkrooms in the near future. The new station alerting system is being shipped from a top rated company in California. The specifications have been reviewed for several months and will be the top of the line over any other department in the area. The alerting system should be in approximately three weeks. The beautiful upstairs banquet hall is being filled quickly for the end of this year and 2006. There is already a wedding reception reserved for this month. Anybody interested in a walk-thru or for reserving the Banquet Hall is encouraged to call the station or our on-duty Secretary during normal business hours: 0900-1700.

A job well done to the VOLUNTEERS of Huntingtown!
