On Friday September 30, 2005 at approximately 1930 hours, Company 6 units had just cleared a box in North Beach for smoke in the building. Shortly after, Engine 61 (Safety Officer Cox) and Tanker 6 (Cooper) were alerted along with Company 7 (St Leonard), Company 2 (Prince Frederick), and Company 3 (Solomons) to Kings Road for the building fire. Units arrived to find a 25' X 12' shed and a gazebo fully-involved with fire along with fire extending into the attic of the house and the corner of the house well-involved. Engine 21's crew pulled an attack line and began the blitz attack onto the shed to stop the extension to the house while Engine 71's crew pulled a line to the gazebo. Engine 61 arrived and picked up Engine 21's supply line. The crew from Engine 61 pulled a second attack line and assisted with extinguishing the shed and then moved to the house to stop the fire spread. Due to the spread of fire and Water Supply an issue, a Second Alarm was transmitted quickly into the incident. Units from Company 6 operated on the fireground until after 2300 hours. Engine 61's driver (Willis) handled Water Supply and Safety Officer 6 handled the Exposure sector.
