Shortly after 11am, A68 was alerted for the near-drowning in the 608 box area of Huntingtown. The Assistant Chief (Morris), E62 (LT Miller), Brush 6 (Williams), and A68 (Luna) responded and arrived to find a semi-responsive toddler after a near-drowning incident. Due to information gathered and the patients initial condition, the Maryland State Police Aviation Division was immediately activated. Crews worked to warm and oxygenate the patient prior to the arrival of Trooper 2. A landing site was established by Engine 62 in a neighboring field. Trooper 2 flew the child to DC Children's Hospital.
