At 0327 hours on Sunday July 13, 2014, Communications dispatched the call for "an arm stuck in a wall AC vent" at 9505 Howes Road in Dunkirk (507 Box). Huntingtown Rescue Squad 6 (Sgt Gaylor) responded along with Dunkirk VFD Engine 52. Units arrived on location and found a lady's hand stuck in the floor heating/AC vent register that she had been attempting to clean. The crew from Rescue Squad 6 used a variety of hand tools including tin snips to successfully remove her hand. The total extrication took 8 minutes. The patient who was uninjured, refused medical treatment. Rescue Squad 6 cleared the scene 20 minutes after arrival.
