| Friday June 20, 2014 at 2106 hours, the Box Alarm was sounded for "smoke in the house" at 8280 Frances Lane in Owings, MD (1-08 Box). The Fire Chief (Montgomery), Rescue Lieutenant (Ward), Engine 62 (Sgt Roberts) & Tanker 6 (Morgal, H) responded on the call. First arriving units found a one story single-family house with smoke showing from all sides. Engine 62 (3rd due Engine) was the 2nd arriving Engine Company and assumed such responsibilities; supplying Engine 11 and backing their crew up. A room was found to be on fire in the basement which was quickly extinguished. Once the fire was knocked down, Engine 62's crew assisted with ventilating and some minor overhaul. The Huntingtown Volunteers returned to service at 2230 hours.
